Sewn Sustainably is excited to introduce a range of new sewing lessons to Cambridge. If you love fashion and want to learn how to make stylish, well-fitting garments, we'll show you how in our range of modern sewing classes. Unlike other sewing classes, we also like to focus on how we can make sewing that little bit more sustainable by thinking about what clothes we actually need and which ones we'll definitely wear again and again. That's why we have selected a range of key sewing patterns that will form a basic foundation in any wardrobe, and which can be combined endlessly to create different outfits for all types of occasions.
What's more, our selected styles are also perfect for mums on the go (and are tried and tested by our Sewn Sustainably founder & Mum), while our sewing classes will give you that little bit of 'me' time to do something creative and rewarding for yourself. Plus, if you're a total beginner, don't worry, our upcoming beginner classes will have you whizzing along on a sewing machine in no time.
What's more, we have designed our sewing classes to ensure that students will leave completely satisfied. Too often, students pay for classes that do not include fitting help, leading to unwearable garments, wasted materials and wasted time. At Sewn, we'll include fitting advice and help so that after the sewing class is finished, you'll not only leave with the sewing techniques you've learned on the day, but also the skills required to make a finished, wearable garment.
Our current sewing classes are held in Cambridge at The Kaetsu Educational & Cultural Centre (Huntingdon Road) and Parkside Community College (central), both of which have free parking for Sewn students and are easily accessible by public transport. Due to popular demand, we've also launched a new programme of beginner classes, as well as private evening lessons. In the new year we'll also hope to launch our refashion classes.
